SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — Postal workers took on some of Santa’s responsibilities Thursday delivering packages on Christmas Day in San Jose.
Deliveries were scheduled well into the afternoon with the post office helping to put its stamp on the holiday.
“I like the spirit of Christmas,” postal worker Guy Lewis said.
San Jose resident Ute Squatritto was one of the people getting an unexpected delivery. “It’s from my son to his girlfriend Amanda. He was just telling her last night that it wasn’t going to be here for Christmas, so I think he’s going to be very happy.”
Workers like Lewis are happy to make the deliveries despite the holiday.
“I’m getting a good feeling just because people are smiling,” Lewis said.
